Wire Cutter

This precision-machined, patented wire cutter component is made of S7 tool steel.  These parts were machined complete in a vertical machining center from a turned blank.  The .120” cross section of the cutter arm made the process design a particular challenge.  With creative fixture design, we were able to machine this part complete in two simple operations.
